Nazaré Óbidos

We set out to discover the central coast of Portugal.

Nazaré, world renowned for its giant waves and where the largest wave ever surfed (30 meters), inscribed in the Guinness Book of Records under the name of surfer Garret McNamara. Enjoy the superb views of the Atlantic, vast sandy beach, and local history.

We also visited Óbidos, within an imposing wall, this small medieval town sees its Castle today as one of the 7 Wonders of Portugal. Shrouded in a mix of stories and legends, the stage for various events and an acclaimed tourist spot promises a journey back to the 12th century. Depending on the time of year you can be enchanted by the Christmas Village, delighted by the Chocolate Festival, or experience its beginnings at the Medieval Fair.
